Final Arts Academy day @ ACAD

We ended off the Arts Academy class with using our drawing skills on a fun game, but before we did the students created their final pieces with an open choice of media after a course overview and review.

Their first life drawing session.

The students in my Drawing 1 - Saturday class at ACAD got their first opportunity to draw the figure from life and I think they did pretty well. I snapped a few of the last two poses to inspire you to take a class with me or to get out there and get back on that rusty old bike if its been a while and ride off into the light!

Plus: at the very bottom of this post, a quick wet in wet portrait demo I did in student grade acrylic for my Arts Academy kids, with fun orange eye shadow!

Arts Academy - teens kicking butt

I took on an additional class teaching teens on Saturdays at ACAD. I created a very academic curriculum. These guys are quickly becoming really good. I wasn't able to snap many photos of the terrific work they did in the still life proportions class.

My phone is old and the battery never gets me past 3pm before it dies. there were more than a dozen more great still life studies by the end of class, but you get the idea.
